James Eade Receives Career Outstanding Achievement Award

James Eade receives Career Outstanding Achievement Award from the US Chess Federation at Marriott Madison West.

James Eade is a past President of CalChess, the Northern California Chess Association, and a long time delegate to the United States Chess Federation (USCF) from Northern California.  The USCF splits California into North and South for purposes of governance.  As a long time tournament organizer, and member of USCF governance committees, and as a former member of its Executive Board, the USCF honored James with the Outstanding Career Service Award at the 2018 US Open.  The former USCF Executive Director, Al Lawrence, introduced James during the awards ceremony.  That is Jennifer Shahade in the background holding the award.
